Teaching and Learning Modules for Integration Measures promoting Self-Empowerment and European Values
The EUROCOMPASS project was a European initiative on integration of third country nationals and was part-financed by the European Commission, Justice and Home Affairs Directorate-General, INTI programme. EUROCOMPASS created modules for integration measures, providing third country nationals with curricula on common European values, including anti-discrimination, equality, fundamental rights and civic citizenship. Instead of changing conventional integration activities, these new measures complement existing national approaches in member states.
The results of a project survey formed the basis for the development of a series of six teaching and learning modules on different issues related to fundamental EU values. The modules have been tested in piloting sessions in Denmark, Italy, Germany and the UK in different teaching and learning contexts.
Runtime: 2004-2006
